Today’s TV experience isn’t just to television sets and set-top boxes, but also to apps running on mobile smartphones, tablets and connected consumer electronics devices such as game consoles and Blu-ray players, and – coming soon – the Connected Car.  It’s a mash-up of video programming with the Web, social media and advanced advertising.  It can be bound to home or be available anywhere.  It can reach consumers through strictly managed networks, on a best-effort basis via the open Internet, via over-the-air broadcast, or by using a hybrid consisting of all three.

tvstrategies™ (Advanced Media Strategies LLC) was established in 2001 by Steven Hawley, an independent consultant and industry analyst that has been involved with IPTV since 2000, and with telecom, computer and software technologies for many years prior to that.
